How To Build A Read/Write JavaScript API explains a scheme that uses fragment identifiers appended to iframe src attributes to pass requested mashup data across domain boundaries. Quite clever, as it doesn’t depend on any dns rewriting, plugins, or platform-specific loopholes. I suspect this could even work on an iphone.
