Yep, that pretty much sums it up. Big music bites.

It’s time for our society to recognize that there is a fundamental difference between selling information and sharing it.

Selling is commercial, and subject to law and license.

Sharing, if non-commercial, is one of our fundamental rights as members of a free society.

My bottom line is this: unless there is commercial gain (from ads, subscription, or sales), freedom trumps license.

The free exchange of information must be tolerated as a fundamental human right, even when it appears to threaten the suggested retail value of that information.
