Right now, you need javascript to see Flash. By next spring, you won’t anymore. That’s huge, because plenty of services (think newsfeeds, k?) that support embedded media don’t support javascript.

I had to refrain from jumping for joy, though, because then I would have had to explain _why_ to my non-geek friends… it’s hard being a geek sometimes.
